Job Description

Job Title: Energy and Resource Efficiency Consultant (RFJ8)
Reports to: Team Manager - Waste and Sustainability

Purpose of Job: To provide technical and delivery support to the Companies Sustainability Leadership Group. To provide resource efficiency consultancy,
to undertake business development and sales activity and to provide
assistance to further develop the Companies resource efficiency products and
services.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivery of resource efficiency (energy, water, waste and carbon) audits
for clients within the agri-food and drink industry. Writing resource
improvement reports highlighting measures for improvement either
through process improvement or capital investment

Provision of resource efficiency advice and practical process
improvements to clients to deliver financial savings and to reduce
environmental impacts.

Contribute to the provision of resource efficiency awareness and training
for clients

To work closely with the Companies key Account Managers to develop profitable
business developing sales of £22K per annum from corporate clients

Contribute to the development of concept notes, business proposals and
accompany Account Managers on client visits

To provide technical, analytical and report writing delivery with a target of
delivering £62K of NR annually

Experience and Skills:

Good understanding of policy and business drivers for resource efficiency

Graduate or equivalent in an engineering subject.

Minimum 3 years work experience

Expertise in the provision of resource efficiency advice, enabling efficiency
improvements to be made in water, energy, or raw material use within
organisations, leading to financial savings, lower resource use and
reduced carbon emissions

Understanding of resource efficiency opportunities relating to common
agri-food manufacturing systems and processes such as refrigeration,
lighting

Basic understanding of renewable energy technologies wind, PV,
anaerobic digestion

Understanding of the business support environment which includes
Business Link, Manufacturing Advisory Service

Good understanding of the sustainability agenda

Strong analytical, report writing and verbal presentation skills with the
ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and appropriate
manner to a range of stakeholders
