Global Marketing Enterprise Architect - FTSE10 - 6 Months - London

On behalf of a Global Leader we are currently looking for a Global Marketing Enterprise Architect to join them on a contract basis in London/Remote.


• Acting as the figurehead for technology and architecture decisions within the Global Marketing organisation and ensuring these decisions are based on commercial and technical factors, are aligned with the partners strategic direction and are compatible with the wider Enterprise Architecture

• Keep abreast of current and emerging industry trends and ensure the partners applications and solutions in the scope of Global Marketing are kept modern and continues to support the business needs in a supportable and commercially viable way

• Play an active part on the Global IT Marketing leadership team, being recognised as the lead architect and ‘go-to person’ for all architecture matters related to this part of the organisation

• Accountable for the creation and ongoing development of the architecture artefacts & archetypes that reside within the Global Marketing organisation. These include the target / transition architectures, roadmaps, and technology strategy

• Responsible for governing architecture decisions within the Global Marketing organisation including the operation of the governance boards, applying the processes and ensuring alignment with other parts of the partners organisation


Experience Required

• At least 5 years’ experience working in a large global organisation as a senior architect within a global function. Ideally having worked in a large FMCG organisation or a retail organisation with a heavy Digital presence

• Delivered Enterprise or Solution Architecture across multiple technology and application domains solving complex business issues

• Led global teams of architects, both directly and via a matrix approach

• Managed stakeholders at all levels in an organisation, including to ‘C-Level’

Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required

• An excellent knowledge of current and B2B & B2C Marketing Technologies including Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Sprinklr, Magento, Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Target and Adobe Audience Manager, Adobe Analytics, GA360

• Knowledge of FMCG Trade Marketing processes covering Retail Execution, Direct Store Sales & Delivery, B2B Engagement and E-Commerce

• Knowledge of Direct-to-Consumer (B2C) Marketing processes across Content Management, E-Commerce, Omnichannel engagement and Campaign management

• Knowledge of Data Driven Marketing approaches including tagging and audience management

• Expertise in Integration Technologies preferably including Mulesoft

• Enterprise Architecture including good knowledge of TOGAF and strong skills in architecture modelling techniques like business and technology capability modelling, maturity modelling, change readiness assessments, impact assessments etc.

• Experience in creating Conceptual, Logical and Physical architecture views and communicating them to respective audiences

• Solution Architecture on major programmes

• Modern Application Development approaches (SAFe preferred) and tools (Azure DevOps preferred)

• Stakeholder management at all levels in an organisation

• Must be able to take business priorities and create target application and technology views based on them

• Strategy, roadmap and vision development and the linkage from the key elements of the vision/roadmap to change vehicles for realisation

• Business acumen, ability to articulate both business, commercial and technical ideas clearly and simply

• Consulting skills to engage, communicate with and influence stakeholders effectively

• Commercial skills (understand and consider financial implications of proposals)

• Effective communication, engagement and relationship management skills

• Effective facilitation, influencing and negotiation skills
